On World Ocean Day, June 8, 'Albatross' was shown in Gouda, Holland. In three times a total of about 240 students have seen it. They were impressed and shocked. For some students it was too long: a 45 minutes version would be great.

I don't believe short attention spans are an admirable human trait, nor is rewarding such deficiency a worthy pursuit.  Screening a 45-minute edition would not only degrade the film but would pander to laziness, which means such censorship is inevitable given today's worship of least common denominators. 😴

I don't think those 11 and 12 years old students should be blamed for not being able to appreciate the 97 minutes film to the maximum.

You're quite right, Teun!  👍  An intermission might be in order.  🙂  No, I don't blame the children.  I blame adults, who seem powerless to curb the ever-growing attention deficit experienced by children.  😥
